Planning For A Patent Wall

Creating a patent wall display for current and future patents can be intimidating. No worries!! We are here to assist you in the direction that will work best for your company.

The first thing you need to do is pick a location (or locations). When picking your location you want to keep in mind the purpose of your patent wall display. If you want to impress clients it may not be a good idea to create a display of awards down a hall that most of your clients won’t see. Perhaps you want your patent wall to be used as a form of recognition for the inventors. If this is the case, then it is more important for your employees to see the wall than it is for clients.

Next, you'll need to put some thought into the layout of your wall display. If your wall display is large, we strongly recommend displaying your patents in rows with at least one to two inches between them. You can be more creative with your wall display layout if your wall display is smaller.

Finally, determine how much space you have available and approximately how many patent plaques will fit in the available space(s). At this point in time it would be best to have an idea of the product size and design that you are interested in. Check out our patent plaque sizes and designs.

Once you know approximately how patent plaques your wall space will fit, we recommend dividing that by the average number of patents issued to your company per year. This will help you to determine approximately how many years it will take before your wall space is filled. It is best to plan ahead on what you want to do once the patent wall is filled.

Planning a wall can be intimidating but we make it easy for you to create a professional patent wall display that will impress clients and employees alike.
